Rockport children

I had the opportunity to spend the day with an amazing child photographer, Patrisha McLean, this past weekend. Patrisha photographs many children and families that normally wouldn't have the means to hire a professional photographer. It was so great to learn from her and have the opportunity to photography some children that normally would never have the opportunity be professionally photographed.

We started with Andrea who is only 13 and was so wonderful to work. She was so excited to be photographed. She has the most amazing eyes and just had some wonderful natural beauty in front of the camera.

Patrisha then took me to a shelter where we met some great kids. Most of the mom’s just wanted a picture or two of their kids and it was so wonderful to be able to give it to them. I first played with 3 year old Chole who was full of energy! She was loving the camera and all the attention. It was hard to stop taking pictures of her.

Aikman was a shy little boy but had a wonderful smile. With mom by his side he was happy to play peek-a-boo with me and giggle a lot.

I also was able to shoot two sisters, who were happy to feel beautiful in front of a camera.

It was a great day. It went well beyond working and learning from a great photographer. I am thrilled to think that these’s families and mom’s with have pictures of their kids to cherish.
